Enjoy a drive to Lake Conjola
Mollymook Beach Units offer off street parking for the boat or trailer. For a change of pace, take a drive to Lake Conjola. The Lake Conjola Entrance Road is 7km from Milton, traveling north along the Princes Highway. Once on this road, turn left into Kurrajong Cres, Conjola Park, to enjoy the stunning views, boat ramp and jetty at the western end of the lake. It is 7km along the Entrance Road, through Conjola National Park, to the main settlement of Lake Conjola. Access to the main boat ramp, car park and beach, is through the Lake Conjola Caravan Park. Kangaroos and Wallabies can bee seen in numbers grazing at the roadside and throughout the grounds of the park, especially in the quieter months.
If you can tear yourself away from magnificent Mollymook, Lake Conjola offers a great day out, particularly if you have a boat. Otherwise, you can fish from the lakeside or from the beach. Enjoy walking through the beautiful dune vegetation on the boardwalk, walking along the unspoilt beach or just taking in the breathtaking scenery and birdlife. The surf near Green Island provides excellent board riding and there are plenty of spots for scuba diving.
Be sure to stop into the Yatte Yattah Garden Nursery and Tearooms for a delicious selection of scones, tarts and cakes or a tasty lunch in a tranquil and relaxing setting. The nursery at 38 Tierney Rd, Yatte Yattah, features an extensive bonsai display. Tierney Rd is about 1 km south toward Milton, on the Princes Highway.
